Next Level Ableton Live Workshop at Ex’pression College 9/15-16

This course is designed for the Live user who wishes to delve deeper into the production and performance capabilities of this unique software. The course is divided into three parts, with each part aiming to create original music structures that can be dynamically “re-composed” in live performance scenarios. Students begin by receiving an in-depth demonstration of Live’s synths, samplers, and effects modules. The course continues by using these instruments and effects to create malleable musical parts which can then be reconstituted into a finalized piece. The final stage of the course deals with mastering your music into a professional sounding product and then optimizing Live for live performance.

-Basic knowledge of Ableton Live is recommended.

Courses are held at Ex’pression College for Digital Arts in Emeryville, CA. Parking is available on site and also easily accessible via public transportation.
